The prolific fiction team captained by James Patterson has promised 17 books to publisher Hachette through 2012. According to Publishers Weekly, the deal includes new entries for Patterson's three detective series, starring Alex Cross, the Women's Murder Club, and detective Michael Bennett. There will also be young adult titles, summer thrillers, nonfiction books, and "other surprises."Related:
