In this short video, mystery novel author Stephen J. Cannell (The Pallbearers) explains how writers can get over writer's block. He's a man who should know something about the subject: As a TV writer and producer, Cannell wrote hundreds of scripts, not to mention creating a host of crime and action TV classics, including The Rockford Files, 21 Jump Street, The A-Team, Hunter, and more.
For the past several years Cannell has turned his attention to writing crime fiction, including his series starring detective Shane Scully. (He also appeared as himself on the TV series Castle, playing poker with fellow crime novelists James Patterson, Faye Kellerman, and Michael Connelly.)
