Parker, Janet Evanovich, Gregory  Mcdonald, Ross Thomas, Lawrence Block, Max Allan Collins, and more. Although there is some overlap with the other list, several of these series are not "mysteries" and/or do not star a "detective" (professional or amateur). In order of first publication:
