Top 10: Crime Fiction News (Mar 3): Godfather prequel, George Smiley, Crime eBooks

Some interesting bits of news this week in the world of thrillers, crime, mystery, and suspense fiction—including a dispute over whether Mario Puzo's estate has the right to publish posthumous "Godfather" novels.

We're making a change this week with our charts—we've split the Thrill of it All's Top 20 into two different sets:  The top 10 for the week, and a top 10 of all time. It was the only way to clear off some of those chestnuts that just lingered in the weekly top twenty week after week.

And what did we say last week about the words "free" and "Batman"? As you can see below, our initial blog featuring free Batman comics jumped in a matter of days from #1 post of the week to one of the TOP TEN POSTS OF ALL TIME. I'm sure you won't miss the fact that I quickly followed up with a second "free Batman" blog entry...which is this week's #1 post. (We'll see how quickly it makes the "All Time" list!)
